For those of you who have not met him, this is my latest pet. His name is Don Pedro (because Kaitlin decided it should be), but his full name is Don Pedro Tybalt Gloucester III. :P

He is awesome, but seems to have torn a small chunk out of his fin recently. :(
Flynn is gloating by draping his intact fins over his tank decorations. It's kind of hilarious.

In non crazy fish related news, I need to stop doubting myself. I am smart, I am capable, and do have good ideas. I just have trouble voicing them and completely teasing them out. It's frustrating, but I have a lot going for me.

What prompted that comment, you ask? Classes, of course.

Stan had us scanning NINE chapters of Voyage of the Beagle for two sentences. Two sentences. >.< I, of course, not wanting to miss them, started a METICULOUS reading of all of it, comparing each difference word for word, and got nowhere.
I went to talk to him about this, and it turns out the passage I marked when I casually read the book was it, and not only that, I picked up on his subtle hints telling us it was in chapter 9. What's more, I came up with an entirely new and awesome theory based on reading everything together, Sixth and lastly, he pretty much told me that he was confident that anything I could come up with would be good.

Shakespeare: No one really talked. Least of all me. I don't know why I have so much trouble speaking up in that class, but it's been proposed that perhaps it's because Brownlow lectures a lot in the seminar and brings so many new ideas that it's hard to keep track of the old ones you brought. *sigh*
Anyway, I was feeling bad about this when he suddenly started going on and on about this brilliant student from last semester (way to rub it in) who came up with this amazing theory about Ophelia and Hamlet. Specifically, that their madness episodes are not so different from one another. This, hilariously, was a topic I wrote a paper on in high school, and apparently it was an idea that a distinguished Shakespeare scholar wants to quote from one of his students.
I don't know whether to preen or bang my head into a wall repeatedly.

Flynn = <3
Send my love! =P

I think...no, I know that I know how you feel. Both of us need to stfu and stop whining about how incompetent we are. We're clearly NOT.
I'll kick you if you kick me!
