Apr. 4th, 2007 07:33 pmI didn't believe my psych book when it said that mild sleep deprivation causes little effect in higher cognitive processes, but totally incapacitates you when it comes to simple tasks. Yesterday was living proof of that statement. I slept soundly for about 4 hours, woke up, had a decent fencing practice, and promptly BASHED my head into a shelf as I was standing up after grabbing my gym shoes. Oww. I had a headache for the rest of the day, and actually still kind of have one now. :P After that, I worked on my Shakespeare and was able to come up with more coherent and logical ideas than I had been able to in the past two days. XD Then, when it got to M&Cs time, I went down to get tea and managed somehow to move my hand under the spout while the machine was dispensing SCALDING HOT water. The top of my right hand is burned, and I couldn't type for an hour after it happened. lolz. -_-
I'm feeling much better and more productive today. :D
Yay for sleep.
Note: the Godiva chocolate coffee drinks they sell in the campus store are delicious and $1.79. Awesome!
