The Longest Catch Up Post EVER, part 2
Oct. 6th, 2007 08:21 pmSo, let's see...
After the Twain House and training comes the bit about getting my room set up. I really like how I have things arranged, and I bought the coolest mosquito net curtain thing to hang around 3 sides of my bed. It's awesome. I was also delighted to find that the person here before left my ceiling covered in glowing stars. YES! I also have some fabulous Shadow Hearts II art, courtesy of Laura and Ann. I asked Ann to take pictures of the setup for me, so perhaps I will be able to post those soon. I mostly like how the room's divided into a sort of entertainment area with my TV and bookshelf and food, and my bed and desk.
Of course, I also have a new fishy friend. It's another beta named Zabulon (because someone thought a stereotypical villain name would be funny). How I ended up with him was quite the saga, let me tell you. ( Gather round, friends, and I will relate how mine is an evil fish )
Classes started, I like journalism, biochem may in fact be killing me, and that's about it for that arena.
Much more interesting is the search for life after college. It looks like I have an internship set up with Genetic Alliance (www.geneticalliance.org) over j-term, and it could turn into a summer gig, or even a job. I also got invited by the CDC to apply for the Winston Churchill Fellowship for a one year fellowship at Cambridge. ^_^
We'll see how that goes. David Gardner said I should e-mail him if I was interested, and yeah. He hasn't e-mailed back.
