Regression caused by cumbersome great expectations?

This new icon is partially a reminder to myself, and to celebrate my recently rekindled love of Final Fantasy 4. I really wish Kain hadn't left Cecil with Rydia without paying child support! :P
Seriously, though. I found some random mini PlayArts action figures of the cast, and I just...went nuts. I have Rosa, Edge, Kain, Rydia, and Cid. I just need Cecil. :/
Perhaps it's yet another form of regression. Just like the enormous quantities of j-pop and anime music I've been sharing and listening to recently.

I don't really know what else to say right now, except that I am UPSET at the new rendering of Rydia for the DS version of FF4. I don't care how "hawt" she looks, you stupid fanboys, she is NOT the type of character that would ever be scantly clad. Nope. Dream on.

I always figured Rydia was wearing a battle-tard, like Rosa, but with sleevey panels and maybe a panel-y skirt over it. The redesign is just kind of...bizarre. I dunno. At least the DS renders of Edge and Cecil are awesome?

I need to get me some of those figurines, stat, yo.

I love your icon! Hehehehehe! I could watch it for hours. I always saw Rydia's outfit as a flowing robe sort of thing, but there are indications of a battle-tard (unfortunately). :P

Ah well. Guess I can just ignore the annoying fanboys...and the DS rerelease. However, Allison pointed out how well I could pull off Rosa with the cosplaying...

After that piccie of the FF IV sequel for cellphones, all I can say is that I really, really hate Square Enix. Poor Rydia. :(
