It's nice when you're actually moderately busy. ;P

First, I'd like to say that my cousin had her surgery right after the 4th of July, and that she is fine and no cancer was detected. THANK GOD! I got the call while I was volunteering at the Family Birthing Center, and I am still damn glad that I stopped doing my mind-numbing task of making baby photo pamphlets to see what my mom was calling about.

My 4th of July was also good. We had some great food at my house, and my relatives seemed to enjoy themselves quite a bit. We had Tres Leches cake for dessert, which is one of my all time favorites. If you haven't tried it, you should. I also went and saw some friends that I had not seen forever: James and Dani. Those of you reading might have noticed the message from James on my Facebook wall stating that he was glad I came to his birthday party, and apologizing for being inebriated. Hehe, a drunken party Facebook post! Something I always wanted, but never thought I'd be cool enough to get. ;P The night was pretty good. James and Dani are an absolutely adorable couple (like...in the same league as Mike and Diana), and their friends were, from what I could gather, fun and nice people. We also went swimming, which is something I have not done in ages.

And now, on to my awesome weekend. There was lots of Thousand Arms on Friday with George, and then I saw the second Pirates movie on Saturday. :D My favorite line was by far "Look!" *BANG!* "It's an undead monkey." There were parts of that movie that amused me greatly, but there were others (mostly the 'serious' bits) that I was sort of unenthusiastic about. My only major complaint was that the theater was crowded, and I had to go to the 10:15 showing. I finally got to bed at 1:20 in the morning, and I had to get up at 6:40 for naginata practice. That was rough. The Celtic Festival this afternoon made up for it, though. Lots of music, stepdancing, and pretty jewelry. There was also an Irish Wolfhound adoption center there, and we got to stop and spend time with some of the dogs. :) I ended up getting an awesome new CD, and my mom bought some beautiful photography prints that I hope will be hanging somewhere in our house soon. My mother also ran into a friend that she hasn't seen since I was 9. It was an adorable moment. ^_^

That was one of my favorite lines as well...I've been using it non-stop.
