So, the time with Laura was awesome, but it went by really fast. Rafting was great, as was the gondola ride and the random obstacle course at the top of Aspen Mountain. I also really enjoyed the Chai place in Mills. Sooooo delicious, and I'll probably only be able to go there one more time before I leave for school. I miss Laura's great company already. :(

The rest of my time has been spent making cards and saying goodbye to the people I've volunteered with this summer...and of course packing. I am naturally disinclined to pack, because I DON'T BELIEVE IN CONDENSING YOUR LIFE INTO SMALL SUITCASES AND BOXES! Waaah! >.< Okay, that's an obnoxious exaggeration, but really. Choosing what to take and what to leave takes way too much time and energy, while also being slightly depressing. My dogs are not helping matters with their whining and moping about, either. Opal has been attached to me for the last couple days...and she's been very vocal. She tried to physically attack the boxes I was using to ship things. :P

Anyway, must go. I have an important goodbye to say to Jamie, a close family friend. I'm meeting her for coffee, and I'm kinda bummed that it'll be the last time I'll get to see her for a long while.
